A Sliver of Darkness by C.J. Tudor

​I’m a huge fan of the author. The way she blends mysteries and thrillers with supernatural really works for me. So much so that it’s pure name recognition by now. I see a new book by Tudor – I want it. Don’t need to read the description; why, I don’t even check the page count, which is highly unusual for me.
And so, this turned out to be something of a surprise. A thoroughly pleasant one at that. A collection of short stories that definitely skew more toward the author’s horrific side.
I loved these stories. Loved this collection. It’s exactly the sort of dark demented literary scary psychological thrills I’m after in my reading…and in my writing. Even the introductions for each story are perfect – at least for readers like me who are fascinated by where ideas come from and how creative juices flow.
So good, so creepy, so twisted. Enjoy the darkness, there’s more than a sliver to be found within these pages.
